Personal Request

Update at 1924: Andie put up a GoFundMe as “Justice for Noodle“. So you now have 3 options to donate to help bring support.

Update at 1522: If you are a member of the Ashcreek Neighborhood in Beaverton, and are registered in their online neighborhood watch (blog), then you can get further details there on what to look out for. It appears there’s been reference made about 2 Huskies in that area.

As a lot of you may know, Andie is one that is more likely to ‘give’, than to ‘receive’.

A few months ago, she went through a surgery that could of killed her, but thank the Lord through everyone’s prayers, Andie is still here and fighting through. As she was recovering, it was found that her companion, Ms Noodle, was not doing well, and a tumor was discovered; she went through her surgery and came through it as well.

Well…. it seems the family can’t catch a break right now. On top of a broken pipe in the crawl space, which won’t be repaired until Tuesday, July 5, as no one is willing to work on getting it corrected before then, Ms Noodle was on a walk the other day with Andie’s dad, and got caught up in fight with 1 of 2 Huskies that are owned by a woman, whom took off after her Dad had to force Noodle free, causing the skin to break and major bleeding. Thank the Lord, they are both still around, but the emergency vet bill is at least $600, on top of what it’s going to cost to repair the pipes.

This occurrence with Ms Noodle was on the Fanno Creek Trail in Beaverton, so it’s not known if she’s just a homeless woman with 2 Husky dogs, or if she’s a resident in the area.

If you have the desire to help offset their costs, please head on over to the Donate page to do so via PayPal. But if you’d prefer to send it the old fashioned way, in the mail, then please see the contact page for the mailing address.

Thank you and God bless you for your efforts.

From Andie’s Facebook page

Tuesday:

“On a more POSITIVE note:) I got an email this morning from the news reporter who interviewed me in August on my smile boxes, and I’m going to be granted an award at this banquet on January 23rd, oh my gosh I’m so excited! We should be hearing from someone from their station named Kelly soon with more details, ahh so excited!!:D and my attackers/bullies think my smile boxes are fake lolol funny, goes to show um the news people aren’t going to listen to these people threatening to contact them, cause the news people know me:) wanted to show you guys the email I got this morning and the link about the Royal Rosarians newsmakers of the year banquet. Am so happy right now:)”

Andie's email invite for award

Wednesday:

“Got the call from news person:) the lady who called told us the details of the event on January 23rd, usually its held in March, but they bumped it up to January this year, she isn’t going to be there, but the person who Ill be in contact with is someone from the news station named Jeff! But basically we check in at the hotel for this at 6pm, that time is like for drinks, lol unfortunately I’m not 21 yet:( bummer, then from 7-8 is a dinner, and from 8-9:15 about is the ceremony, which I will be up on stage, my story will be shared and Ill be given a medallion I believe its called, and an plaque or certificate of some sort.:) this event takes place every year, each news station chooses someone who they feel deserves the award for doing something great in your community, peoples who stories are inspirational, actions are heroic and attitudes humble.:) I still can’t believe I was chosen, this is so exciting! I’m proud of what I do with my smile boxes, and will continue making them and giving to the hospital and Ronald Mcdonald house for a long time, its my mission to bring smiles to those children who are in need! This is going to be such an exciting event, will be sure to post pictures and things after it. Thank you guys for supporting me with what I do, and to those who have helped in some way by sending items for my boxes etc it truly means a lot to me, and has helped me to be able to continue making my boxes. ♥”

Additions to the site

Due to the tragic event that took place on December 14, at about 9:20a in Newtown Connecticut, Andie had the desire to set up a page on Facebook to help gather and send 1,000 Hope Cards.

Since then, a contact page was added to move her “mailing” address and a donation option should anyone wish to help offset costs for shipping as needed, and items she could purchase for the Smile Boxes.

And finally, should anyone have a message that they want to put in a Hope Card, but don’t want to send one or more through Andie, or have a request for a Smile Box, then the comments page is where to go.
